The fold, from object to identity

A small gesture becomes a language for lettering, paper and space.

An identity becomes memorable through the relationship between its details. The name, the symbol, the object and the paper do not need to repeat the same image everywhere. They need to feel like expressions of the same thought.

For MAWSEM, that thought is a fold. Two mirrored ribbons turn toward an open center, holding a moment of space between them. The emblem has a generous silhouette, with a movement that can be recognized before its smaller details are read.

The bilingual lettering carries a related rhythm. Arabic curves and the sweeping Latin ending give the name a sense of movement, while the body typography keeps everyday reading clear. Expression belongs in the signature; clarity gives it room.

On paper, the emblem can be complete and quiet, or enlarged into a graphic crop. The wine and ivory pairing holds the principal identity together. Clay adds tactile warmth, mauve softens a character, and citron brings a decisive accent. Each role contributes to the whole.

The folded cap gives the idea a physical gesture. In the salon, a larger folded installation turns that gesture into space. These shifts in scale make the connection visible without requiring every surface to carry a full logo.

A strong identity leaves room for variation. Its familiar parts allow different products, formats and moments to feel connected. The fold gives MAWSEM that shared language, from the smallest scent card to the way the house is encountered.
